How to: Chrome Ombré

Step 1: Prep your space
Create your Selfcare setup with everything you need close at hand — think your PN Selfcare Fine Nail File, Cuticle Pusher, LED Lamp, and your gel polish colours and chrome powder.

Step 2: Nail prep
Shape your nails using the PN Selfcare Fine Nail File, then gently push back your cuticles with the PN Selfcare Cuticle Pusher. Clean the nail surface with PN Selfcare Cleansing to remove any oil or residue. This helps your gel polish adhere better and last longer.

Step 3: Apply your base coat
Apply a thin layer of PN Selfcare Peelable Base or Soak Off Base, depending on your preference. Cure under the PN Selfcare LED Lamp. For extra control, apply and cure one nail at a time.

Step 4: Add Toasted Teddy
Apply a thin layer of PN Selfcare Toasted Teddy to the tip of one nail — don’t cure it yet. Working one nail at a time helps you focus on blending the ombré effect more precisely.

Step 5: Create the ombré effect
Take your PN Selfcare Nail Art Brush or Dotting Tool and gently drag the colour toward the base in soft, sweeping motions to create a seamless fade. Cure under the LED Lamp for 60 seconds. Repeat for more intensity if desired.

Step 6: Cure and repeat
Once you’re happy with the fade, cure the nail for another 60 seconds. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for each nail. You can add additional thin layers to build the effect.

Step 7: Apply your top coat
Seal in the ombré with a layer of PN Selfcare Glossy Top Coat and cure under the LED lamp.

Step 8: Chrome finish
Using PN Selfcare Ice Ice Baby Chrome Powder, gently rub the chrome over the cured top coat with a sponge applicator or your fingertip until it reaches the desired shine.

Step 9: Final seal
Apply one more layer of Glossy Top Coat and cure again to lock in the chrome. Finish with a drop of PN Selfcare Cuticle Oil, massaging it into your cuticles for a healthy, hydrated glow — and that polished, pro finish.
